In the latest edition of The Voice of Atlas, we feature Mohamed Meerasahib, a logistics leader steering RRR Shipping from the heart of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With deep industry insight and a passion for continuous improvement, Mohamed shares how adaptability, innovation, and behind-the-scenes operational strength fuel long-term success in global freight. His reflections offer a candid look at what it means to thrive in a fast-evolving industry — and why resilience is the true engine of logistics.
How did you first get interested in logistics, and what keeps you motivated in this field?
I got into logistics after graduation through my best friend who introduced me to the industry. The dynamic nature of logistics and the daily challenges we tackle are what keep me motivated and engaged.
What valuable life lesson has your experience in logistics taught you?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that nothing is permanent — change is constant. This applies not just to logistics but to life in general.
What does innovation mean to you in the context of logistics, and how do you foster it in your organization?
Innovation is essential for growth. If we look at how logistics has evolved over the past 10–15 years — from sales processes to last-mile delivery — the transformation is incredible. As a growing logistics company, we actively stay updated with market best practices and continuously strive to innovate in our operations.
What part of the supply chain do you think gets underestimated — and why?
Operations. In today’s digital age, operations is a round-the-clock job, yet the spotlight often remains on sales. The behind-the-scenes work deserves far more recognition.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting in your line of work?
Be passionate and prepared to work with full commitment. Logistics isn’t a 9-to-5 job — it demands honesty, dedication, and a 24/7 mindset.
What makes a logistics partnership truly successful in your eyes?
Adaptability and patience are key. In this ever-evolving industry, being flexible and resilient helps partnerships thrive and succeed over time.
What motivated you to join this network, and has it met your expectations so far?
The exclusivity, having limited members per country, along with the added advantage of using FMC-registered BLs, was a major motivator. So far, the network has lived up to our expectations.
If you had to describe this network to a new contact or colleague in one sentence, what would you say?
A reliable and promising network that can deliver a return on investment within 2 to 3 years.
If your workday had a theme song, what would it be — and why?
Theme Song: “Stronger” by Kanye West.
Because every challenge we face in logistics makes us stronger, faster, and more capable — it reflects the spirit of resilience and continuous improvement we live by.
Thank you, Mohamed, for your inspiring words, your honest reflections, and the passion you bring to everything you do.
